Meet Laura!
Hello! I’m Laura Harris.
I'm a born and raised North Carolina gal and grandma to 4, 9 if you count my grand-dogs. I love Jesus and if you can't tell from the picture, my ducks! They are easily my favorite prop and one of the tools I use to get one more smile from my little clients!
Although I like to create fun and edgy memories, especially for my high school seniors, my passion is to provide timeless wall art/albums that will make you smile everytime you walk through your room or a signature album that you place on your coffee table.
I’m a full service, centrally located North Carolina portrait studio, with my own farm land and access to many country settings. It's not unusual to have a beach session one day and then in downtown Wilmington, Raleigh, or a rural setting the next.
Why Hire me?
- It's all about the lighting! The proper use of light can make or break a photograph. I understand and have the skills to use whatever light source the situation needs. If off camera lighting is needed to properly give good skin tones and keep a blue sky, that is what I use. If natural light is needed, that is what I use.
- Capturing the Emotion! My sessions are not rushed. From our consultation and planning, I will know what type of portrait tells your story. Sometimes a smile is not needed. Sometimes it is all about the smile!
- What does a full service studio mean? I knew I didn't want to be one of many photographers that would do a session, hand you a flash drive of the images, and say figure out what you want to do with them. I offer a no obligation consultation prior to booking that we discuss everything from location, complete investment information, type of session, what to wear, what time of year, show actual samples of portraits, albums, and even what wall you will want to display your portrait. Once your session is completed, sample wall designs/albums will be shown to you using your actual wall so you can make a confident decision. Once you complete your order, your products are ready to be displayed. not in some drawer or hard drive. Although digitals are offered, clients hire me to print.
- My favorite saying is "I'd rather have a friend than a client, but I love having both!"
